Assessment of Multiple Intelligences in First-Year Engineering Students in Northeast Mexico

In sustainable education, it is important to analyze student diversity in order create strategies that allow for the implementation of inclusive education based on differences observed among students. To achieve this, a sample 321 first-year engineering students (107 females and 214 males) at private university northeast Mexico was analyzed during 2020 academic year. Students were classified according their gender, program, development multiple intelligences Howard Gardner theory intelligences. verify effect gender program factors intelligences, Kruskal–Wallis tests performed with α = 0.05. The analysis effects identified significant four intelligences: linguistic interpersonal (for which female obtained higher mean scores) mathematical visual male scores). five mathematical, visual, musical civil score than other programs); kinesthetic computer science lower naturalistic sustainability programs). These allowed us observe characteristics develop more courses make teaching learning process optimal sustainable.
